YOU MUST ALWAYS BE BOSS or pack leader

A spoilt dog is a disobedient dog.

One of my pet hates is spoilt dogs, much like spoilt children.
There is a difference between a spoit dog and a well cared for dog.

As a breeder, I always tell new owners they CAN NOT keep two males together and it is NOT RECOMMENDED that you keep 2 females together if they have not been raised together and even then trouble COULD arise.

Until you are confident that you know and have a complete understanding of STAFFORDS and have control of your own dogs, this should never be attempted without some reservations.

I was not able keep more than two or three at a time together for quite a few years in the beginning, but over time I learned to understand why a STAFFORD does what he does and was also then able to read the signs when trouble was brewing or who was the trouble maker.

These photos act as a testimonial to a harmonious household. It can be achieved!

What NOT to do

My dogs are
NEVER left in the yard together unless I am in hearing distance and are always kenneled when I am not at home.
NEVER more than two together, and only those I know are safe with each other. Most will eat side by side under supervision and all will wait for tid bits together with out a fuss.
NEVER play ball with more than ONE dog.
NEVER play games or make a fuss over one dog when there are two or more in the group
NEVER give new toys or bones to any dogs in the presence of others unless you intend to supervise at all times. Any hint of trouble take the items away.
